On your first visit Dr. Taylor will carefully examine your teeth for a wide range of possible orthodontic problems, such as spacing, crowding, cross-bite, etc.

Once the doctor has a clear picture of the most likely course of treatment, we will sit down with you to discuss what type of treatment is necessary, how long it will take, and estimate how much it will cost.

You’ll understand everything you need to know in order to decide whether to proceed with treatment or not.

After your examination, a full set of orthodontic records will be taken.  These records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, study models, a dental scan, photos of the patient’s face and teeth, and X-rays.  These are necessary to determine the best course of treatment and to develop a custom approach for each patient.  These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

Once we have thoroughly reviewed these records, we will then explain to you your treatment in detail, including the cost for your particular case.

After the records appointment, we will schedule your next appointment to get the active part of treatment started.  This generally includes placing the brackets or delivering your invisible aligners .  This appointment can take anywhere from thirty minutes to two hours depending on your treatment plan.

You will now see us at regular intervals of four to twelve weeks for adjustments, which will take about thirty minutes.  We ask kindly that you stick to your prescheduled appointment times and dates.  We understand that emergencies and changes are necessary, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.  If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately to reschedule.
