Registered Level II Dental Assistant
I have worked in the Orthodontic field for the last 23 years. I graduated from Holland College with my Level 2 Dental Assisting License in 1998 and continued my education in 2004 at Holland College when I completed my Orthodontic Module. I really love working with the patients and being able to connect with them on a personal level to help make their orthodontic experience a positive one from start to finish.

Dental Receptionist
I graduated from the Office Administration and Technology Program at Academy Canada in 2020. After successfully completing the program, I accepted a position with Dr Taylor at Taylor Smiles. I am thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful team. I love working with people and interacting with the public. When not at work, I spend my time with my two daughters and my fiancée. I love to spend time outside and at our cabin. I am very much looking forward to meeting all of our new patients and forming great relationships with them all.

For All Ages

A Family Based Practice
The Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around the age of seven.  If indeed early treatment is needed it will allow us to correct and guide your child’s jaw, create more space for crowded teeth, avoid the need for extractions later in life, and correct thumb sucking and minor speech problems.  What are some things to watch for that may indicate a possible problem?  Difficulty chewing or biting, crowded or mal-aligned teeth, mouth breathing, jaw troubles (TMJ), and oral habits such as thumb-sucking.
What an exciting time in your life.  Braces have come a long way since your parents’ generation.  They come in a variety of styles, materials, and colors making life with braces much easier, more comfortable, and even more esthetic than ever before.  There are several treatment options to choose from, including ceramic, traditional metal, and clear aligner therapy (Invisalign).  The most common question we are commonly asked is “How long will I have my braces on for?”.  Treatment times can vary depending on how much work is needed and how much we expect you to grow.  Regardless of the type of braces you choose, it is very important to avoid any hard, sticky foods that can possibly damage your braces which will prolong your treatment time.  The average treatment for the majority of our patients is around the two-year mark but this can vary by as much as a year on ether end.
You are the fastest growing segment in our Orthodontic office, and you are never too old to get the smile you’ve always wanted.  Many adults are choosing to receive treatment because they understand the importance of maintaining their health and they want to feel better about their appearance.  Like teens we offer a wide range of options for your treatment that includes esthetic options such as clear braces and clear aligners (Invisalign).  Seeking orthodontic treatment is a positive step in the right direction.  Remember, a straight smile isn’t just beautiful; it will help you maintain the health of your teeth for life.
